A little origins story

Hush! evolved over time and began as a passion project for me. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and decided to digitize storytelling and put my skills to use. I was tired of closed doors with journalism and knew I had to make my own way.

I created Hush! as a platform to discuss all the things I couldn't always openly talk about growing up- sex, dating, relationships & all things kept on the hush. 

I remember recording my very first episode in my mom's kitchen. I was so nervous saying everything out loud. Yet, I could feel the exhilaration from talking about subjects we usually keep hushed. 

My ex, Chris, openly encouraged me to keep running with the idea. He even became a co-host from the launch in 2017. As the podcast took off, we added Kendra and Manny as hosts to broaden the spectrum of discussion. There is no discrediting of what they contributed to the show. As time went on, Manny left the show and due to creative differences, Chris and I parted ways with Kendra.

By Vol. 43 featuring Alexis Fawx, Chris and I remolded the show and turned it in a new direction. We branched out and opened our discussions with porn stars, sex workers, erotica authors, sex coaches, etc.

Going through yet again another metamorphosis, the show evolved into just featuring myself as host. Still as eager and intrigued in learning about people embedded in the sex industry, or simply chatting with people willing to discuss taboo subjects openly, I have pursued the project alone.
